The Strange produces editions in the form of publications and goods that we can sell to support the space and extend our mission. Strange Methods is an occasional, shape-shifting publication investigating the methods by which creative practitioners are forging a stranger, more imaginatively regenerative future. Each edition of Strange Methods will unravel around a unifying theme, and tap a cohort of Decelerator residents as contributors.

This inaugural issue of Strange Methods focuses on the idea of “decelerating”—a deliberate process of side-stepping routine and expectations in order to marinate in the abundant expansiveness of one’s own mind and creative vision. It contains insights and advice from 16 freshly decelerated individuals, a guide to planning your own DIY Decelerator experience, and a library of recommended reading, among other tidbits. 52 full-color, purfect-bound pages.
